Team Lead - Project Development Wind

 

We are partnering with a growing independent renewable energy developer in Germany that specializes in the planning and development of onshore wind and other sustainable energy projects. With a strong pipeline and an experienced, multidisciplinary team, the company is playing an active role in advancing the energy transition and continues to expand its presence across several regions.

 

Location: West/South Germany

Base Salary: Up to €120,000 – Depending on Experience

 

 Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support the advancement of renewable energy projects by managing a range of project-related responsibilities.
  • Prepare and coordinate permit applications, liaise with authorities to review constraints, and handle additional requirements throughout project execution.
  • Maintain regular communication with local stakeholders, authorities, landowners, and other key project participants.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks at an early stage and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Develop presentations for internal and external meetings and manage research and maintenance of landowner and project data.

 

 Your Profile

  • Completed degree in geography, spatial and environmental planning, or a comparable field, ideally complemented by initial professional experience in project-based roles.
  • Solid understanding of the wind energy sector, including familiarity with regional planning processes, land use plans, and development plans.
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications and experienced in working with geographic information systems (GIS).
  • Strong knowledge of planning law and technical project feasibility assessments.
  • Ability to work independently with resilience, while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Analytical mindset with a structured, detail-oriented approach to work and a high level of motivation and commitment.

They act as a trusted advisor to institutional investors and are actively expanding their Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) platform, including both greenfield developments and acquisitions. This is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale BESS projects across Europe, with exposure to both technical project delivery and investment decision-making. Role OverviewThe Senior Expert – BESS will be responsible for driving the execution of utility-scale battery storage projects, ensuring successful delivery while managing EPC contractors and supplier relationships. This role is central to the growth of the company’s BESS portfolio and combines hands-on construction supervision with strategic involvement in technical due diligence for new acquisitions.
