Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading utility-scale renewable energy IPP founded within Goldman Sachs, supporting the growth of their engineering team across a 5+ GW solar and storage portfolio in the U.S. This is an opportunity to join a well-capitalized platform with significant operating assets across multiple power markets and exposure to utility-scale solar and BESS projects throughout their lifecycle.

 

They are looking to add an Operations Engineering Lead to their team to support operational improvement initiatives, asset reliability, root cause analysis, and technical troubleshooting across a large operating renewable energy portfolio.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Lead root cause analysis and remediation efforts for equipment failures, reliability issues, and operational challenges across utility-scale solar and BESS assets

• Partner closely with Asset Management, O&M providers, Owner's Engineers, and Project Engineering teams to improve plant performance and asset reliability

• Act as a technical lead for operational improvement projects, retrofit initiatives, major repairs, and equipment replacement activities

• Support troubleshooting of DC, AC, MV, and HV systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, relays, and collector systems

• Review commissioning reports, diagnostics, and technical documentation while providing recommendations for design and operational improvements

• Coordinate third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure successful execution of corrective actions and reliability initiatives

 

Key Requirements:

 

• 5+ years of experience supporting utility-scale solar and/or BESS assets in an operations, engineering, commissioning, reliability, or technical services capacity

• Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience and demonstrated success leading root cause analysis investigations

• Strong electrical background with exposure to DC systems, AC systems, MV/HV equipment, substations, transformers, relays, and switchgear

• Experience working cross-functionally with Asset Management, O&M providers, field teams, and engineering stakeholders

• Strong understanding of plant operations, equipment reliability, and operational improvement initiatives across renewable energy assets

As the organization continues to scale its operations and commercial activities, they are seeking an EHS Lead to support environmental, health, and safety compliance initiatives across the business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-funded, mission-driven organization at an exciting stage of growth. Key Responsibilities Support environmental, health, and safety compliance programs across multiple projects and facilities, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.Coordinate and maintain permits, licenses, regulatory filings, compliance documentation, and required EHS records.Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, work instructions, and training programs.Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and compliance reviews, identifying risks and supporting corrective actions.Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and regulatory reporting as required.Monitor regulatory changes and support the implementation of new compliance requirements across the organization.Partner with engineering, operations, and project teams to promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with EHS standards.Support interactions with regulatory agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders, and assist in preparing reports, metrics, and presentations related to EHS performance.
