Ecologist - Renewable Energy Projects

 

London Office Location - Highly Flexible Working Pattern (project sites UK wide)

 

Salary Range: £50,000 - 60,000 DOE

 

Piper Maddox are currently working with an exciting renewable energy company who have a hugely diverse range of services contributing to the net-zero transition. Our client is able to contribute across project development, business decarbonization, as well as renewable energy consultations.

 

This particular role would sit within their project development function where they are currently looking to bring a wide variety of services in-house rather than using external partners. This gives you a high level of influence and input over project strategy in your area of expertise.

 

This company are currently working in an exciting joint venture to develop a number of utility scale solar projects from inception through to the ready to build stage to further our transition to a clean energy future. These projects are aimed around 20 acres in size and this company are looking to add a high volume of sites to their portfolio.

 

Their joint venture partner is a leading international investor who are one of the most well established backers of major infrastructure projects. Their trust in our client means that you can rest assured you will see your projects come to fruition with stable funding in the background allowing you to really focus on your projects.

 

They are looking to add an in-house Ecologist to their team who will play a crucial role in ensuring the development feasibility of their renewable portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for preliminary ecological assessments, biodiversity & habitat surveys, LVIA's, as well as attending public consultation events in the consenting process alongside the wider project development team.

 

This role would be suitable for an experienced Ecologist to join up with an in-house team where you can be closer to the project. A background in consultancy would be preferred and this role would require someone with an autonomous spirit who is happy with frequent site visits across the UK.

 

CIEEM membership would be ideal for this role alongside, roughly 5 years of industry experience in the designated field.

They work across a range of industries focusing on the renewable energy space whilst specialising in electrical power infrastructure and grid connections. This company are now looking to expand their team through the hire of an Electrical Design Engineer based in Glasgow. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll actively be involved in their Engineering team working towards their portfolio of high voltage projects. You will be responsible for the design of high voltage electrical infrastructure and follow projects from the concept to the construction phases. NEW ROLE | Renewable Energy Project Engineer Piper Maddox is partnering with one of the UK’s leading specialists in the Battery Energy Storage space. Their mission is to deliver safe energy storage solutions to future generations on a global scale. They are now looking to expand their team through the hire of a Renewable Energy Project Engineer. As a Renewable Energy Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and construction of the company’s portfolio of battery energy storage projects. This role will report into the Technical Lead, where you will work in a multi-disciplinary team to bring projects through the development phases and to completion as well as ensuring interfaces with stakeholders are clearly defined and effectively managed. Location: LondonSalary: Up to £80,000 Key Responsibilities – Lead design reviews, quality assurance processes, and acceptance activities.Prepare, assess, and optimise project designs - including site layouts, system sizing, and equipment selection - through both direct engineering work and management of external consultants.Manage technical interfaces in the development stage with statutory consultees, agencies and network operators (distribution and transmission), permitting authorities such as highways agency, environment agency etc.Work with the EMEA Technical Lead, development team, product engineering, and procurement teams to develop and consistently implement project design and equipment standards that support project cost, quality, and performance objectives.
