We are seeking a Regional Manager with strong management and political skills, as well as technical expertise, to oversee our biogas operations in Tuscany. It is crucial that the candidate can leverage their management experience and political relationships to build and maintain key connections with authorities. The role reports directly to the Head of Operations and involves managing a team of six, potentially expanding to seven, which includes three engineers.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support Plant Managers across multiple biogas facilities.
  • Coordinate schedules, performance evaluations, and training plans for supervisory teams.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex operational or maintenance issues.
  • Ensure optimal asset performance by monitoring KPIs, including gas yield, energy output, and operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate collaboration between biomass, supply chain, and operations teams.
  • Ensure all plants comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and manage the operational budget across all plants, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Analyze plant performance data to identify trends and implement improvement strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in biogas plant operations or similar industrial settings, including supervisory or managerial roles.
  • Proven experience managing teams and multiple facilities.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
  • Strong team spirit, initiative, interpersonal skills, and dynamism.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
