We are working with a European IPP who are looking to make a crucial hire for their German team: a Senior Grid Engineer. With over 500 employees across their offices, and 4+ offices in Germany alone, it's the perfect time to establish yourself in this growing business.

They are hiring for a Senior Grid Engineer / (Senior) Ingenieur für Netzanschluss, who will work across their multi-megawatt pipeline in Germany. You will act as an individual contributor and grid specialist, completing grid connections and solving bottlenecks.

Senior Grid Engineer / (Senior) Ingenieur für Netzanschluss:

  • Salary: Up to €90, 000 + bonus.
  • Location: Hybrid to one of their offices in North or West Germany.
  • Please note this position is listed as 'Remote' due to multiple office locations.

What does an ideal candidate look like?

  • 3-5 years' experience in medium & high voltage grid connections.
  • Proficient in using DIgSILENT PowerFactory & MATLAB concerning grid calculations e.g. short circuit, load flow.
  • Previous experience liaising with grid operators (DSOs and/or TSOs) to assess strategic points of connection & problem-solve bottlenecks / constraints.
  • Happy to work independently, as well as coordinate with development & business teams internally for projects.
  • Wind experience is a great addition!
  • Language: Fluent German (C1/C2) -please note anything below this will not be considered

Position Overview: As a Senior Power Resources Specialist, you will support the procurement and management of renewable energy projects, storage resources, and power supply contracts, contributing to the growth and resilience of SJCE’s energy portfolio.
