Piper Maddox have recently partnered with a leading U.S.-based electrical contractor in an effort to continue the build out of their Solar Design Engineering team.

This organization have a dedicated renewable energy division that focuses on turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for solar energy systems. This division specializes in commercial and industrial (C&I) scale solar projects, typically ranging up to 30 megawatts (MW) in capacity. In the organizations history they have installed more than 2GW of Renewable Energy.

In this position you will be tasked with the following:

  • Facilitate communication and coordination of RFP details-including scope, specifications, and drawings-between clients and internal teams.
  • Proactively assess project requirements and contribute value-added suggestions to strengthen competitiveness and increase win rates.
  • Develop and deliver tailored presentations, proposals, and quotations that align with customer needs and objectives.
  • Serve as a company representative at industry events, association meetings, and networking functions.
  • Partner with the design team to ensure 3D models are compliant with NEC code and project standards.

For this role, the right person has a background similar to the below:

  • Over 5 years of experience in electrical contracting with a focus on management roles.
  • More than 5 years of hands-on experience in estimating and/or project management.
  • Proven ability to lead and oversee complex electrical projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Strong understanding of project cost analysis, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) accreditation preferred.
