A fastgrowing British aerospace startup is developing a new class of lightweight, electrically powered aircraft designed to make personal flight simpler, cleaner and more accessible. With flight testing underway and preparation for series production accelerating, the team is now looking for an experienced Project Manager to help drive the next phase of development.

This is a hands-on role in a small, talented engineering environment where you’ll work across design, build, test and certification activities. You’ll also support bids and proposals as the business expands its commercial footprint.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of cross-functional engineering projects, working closely with engineers, suppliers and technical leads to keep work moving, risks managed and decisions clear. The role suits someone who enjoys structure and delivery but also thrives in a start-up setting where priorities can shift quickly and communication is key.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and coordinating engineering projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Maintaining schedules, budgets and resource plans, ensuring progress against key milestones.
  • Preparing and managing documentation such as project plans, requirements, reports and test artefacts.
  • Supporting bids and proposals, including inputs to schedules, estimates and delivery plans.
  • Running project reviews, managing risks and issues, and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Working with suppliers and partners to align deliverables and resolve interface challenges.
  • Championing continuous improvement as the organisation grows.

About You

We’re looking for a Project Manager who has ideally gained experience within aerospace, advanced air mobility or a related engineering environment. You’ll bring a solid understanding of project management fundamentals, confidence working with technical teams, and a calm, structured approach to delivery.

You’ll Bring:

  • A track record of managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Experience contributing to bids, proposals or customer documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good organisational discipline and attention to detail.
  • A relevant engineering or technical degree (or equivalent experience).

Experience in flight test, certification or safety-critical development is useful but not essential.

Why Join?

  • Work on a truly novel, lightweight electric aircraft programme.
  • Be part of a close-knit team where your impact is immediate and visible.
  • Gain exposure across the full aircraft lifecycle — from concept to flight test and beyond.
  • Enjoy an environment that values initiative and simplicity over bureaucracy.

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a meaningful contribution to a pioneering UK aerospace programme, we’d love to hear from you.
