Role: Sales Manager - Solar PV, BESS, EV Charging

Location: Milton Keynes, England (Hybrid)

 

A global organisation with a rapidly expanding UK presence is seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead national sales efforts across public EV charging infrastructure and utility scale solar installations. This role is central to driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and building a high-performing sales organisation within a fast-paced, evolving industry.

 

We are looking for an experienced and driven Sales Manager to join our EPC team specialising in Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This role will be responsible for identifying and securing new EPC contracts, managing client relationships, and supporting the company’s growth across the renewable energy value chain.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sales and business development strategy to win EPC contracts for Solar, BESS, and EV charging projects.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities with developers, investors, utilities, and commercial clients.
  • Manage the full sales process, including tender preparation, technical and commercial proposals, and contract negotiation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure proposals meet client requirements and project specifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, technology developments, and competitor activities in the renewable EPC space.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare regular reports and forecasts for senior management, outlining pipeline progress and market insights.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Business (Master’s degree advantageous).
  • Minimum5 years’ experiencein B2B sales or business development within the renewable energy or infrastructure EPC sector.
  • Proven success in securing EPC contracts for Solar, BESS, or EV charging projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of project design, cost structures, and EPC delivery models.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to manage complex sales cycles.
  • Fluent in [English / Local Language]; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
