Senior EPC Project Manager | BESS & SolarMilan (Hybrid) | €80,000 to €85,000 + Competitive Bonus Piper Maddox is working exclusively with one of Italy's most exciting IPPs who are searching for a Senior Project Manager following their recent success at the MACSE auction. This profile will be responsible for leading an incredibly exciting pipeline of hybrid and standalone BESS and solar projects from RtB to COD. We are searching for a true specialist in Project Management to manage and support all stakeholders across both internal and external teams. A strong background in the delivery and management of utility-scale solar projects is essential, with BESS experience considered a strong advantage. This is a senior role in a small but incredibly ambitious team, looking to become one of the leading players in the Italian BESS market, as demonstrated by their recent MACSE success. With strong international backing, the company is entering a significant growth phase, offering clear opportunities to progress into a Head of EPC position in the near future. Responsibilities Full project management of multiple utility-scale solar & BESS plants from RtB to CODPlan deployment and implementation of projects alongside internal engineering and procurement teamsSupport internal engineering and development teams through secondary permitting and execution phasesCollaborate with the internal procurement team to handle contract negotiations and contribute to cost control proceduresOversee construction works progress, managing all relevant stakeholders, including external subcontractorsPlan commissioning activities and manage handover to the O&M team Key Skills & Experience Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Civil)10+ years’ experience in relevant project management rolesProven track record of delivering large-scale (10MW+) solar and BESS projects in ItalyDeep expertise in local construction laws, regulations, HSE procedures, and grid codesFluent in Italian and English Why Join? Overview:Lead the design of commercial & industrial solar PV (canopy, and rooftop) and energy storage projects from concept to as-built. This role drives project coordination, mentors junior team members, and ensures code compliance while supporting construction and process improvement initiatives. What you’ll do: Design canopy, rooftop, and ground-mount C&I solar + storage systems.Create single-line diagrams, site plans, and construction documents.Provide technical support through construction and closeout.Collaborate with regulatory, utility, and vendor partners.Mentor and train design engineers and interns. Role: Senior Electrical Engineer (Grid & Electrical team)Salary: €80,000 DOE + bonusLocation: Dublin County, or commutable to (Hybrid)Piper Maddox are working with a top renewable energy developer and operator. Our client has been a leader in the space for over 25 years and on the renewable energy side of things, they have a diverse portfolio of Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage projects.With world class international funding, and a structure supporting the full project lifecycle from project development, delivery, construction, and eventual operation of the large-scale asset, this company is one of the most stable and exciting names in the industry.You’ll play a key role in managing electrical engineering activities across a portfolio of large-scale renewable projects – from early development and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover to operations. Working closely with contractors and grid operators, you’ll ensure successful project delivery across HV.Key Responsibilities Manage all electrical engineering aspects across wind, solar, and BESS projects.Lead on substation design, grid connections, and HV/MV electrical infrastructure.Collaborate with DNOs, National Grid and other stakeholders.Support tendering, design review, construction, and commissioning phases.Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and regulatory standards. Skills 5 – 8 years of experience in electrical engineering within energy or utilities.Proven experience of design and construction of substations.Good knowledge of grid.
