Piper Maddox are exclusively representing an international IPP on the expansion of their UK division. Our client are one of the most exciting names in the BESS market with ambitious growth plans throughout 2025, both in terms of their project portfolio as well as their team headcount.

Specializing in the financing, development, construction, asset management, and operation of utility scale renewable energy assets, you would be contributing to a >1GW pipeline of projects across the UK. This role would center around all aspects of the development lifecycle from initial origination through planning and into the ready to build stage.

Your role would include responsibilities such as:

* The origination of new greenfield opportunities for BESS development - including assessing site feasibility, contacting landowners, managing consultants on matters relating to potential land acquisitions.

* The management of the planning consents process - instructing planning consultants, reviewing documents, and attending public consultation matters.

* The overall monitoring of the development process through to the RTB stage, ensuring project viability before handing off to other areas of the team.

A candidate with between 1-3 years of experience would be well suited to this role. Within this role, you would have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of elements of the development lifecycle and gain experience in overall development management.

The OpportunityAs Senior Associate of Development, you'll take the lead in driving energy storage development in key U.S. markets.
