Job Title: Senior Substation Engineer Overview:A leading EPC firm is seeking an experienced Senior Substation Engineer to support the design and execution of substation projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior staff to deliver high-quality electrical engineering solutions and ensure successful project outcomes. Responsibilities:Support electrical design for substations, including both air-insulated (AIS) and gas-insulated (GIS) stations.Develop key documents such as general arrangement drawings, grounding and raceway plans, one-line/three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and connection diagrams.Prepare electrical lists, Bills of Materials, and cable schedules.Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, and arc flash analysis.Execute calculations for grounding, cable sizing, transformer sizing, battery sizing, and lightning protection.Collaborate on design schedules, budgets, and project execution during construction, start-up, and commissioning phases.Conduct field inspections and gather relevant design data.Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to complete project tasks.Occasionally travel to project sites and provide on-site support.
