Head of Legal - Remote (4 day working week but pay is NOT pro-rata) - Solar/BESS

Piper Maddox are exclusively representing a rare opportunity to come in and head up a small well-funded agile developers legal function has come across my desk.

A massive selling point of this company is the way they put peoples personal life first, and they do this by operating a 4-day working week which allows people to have every Friday off and not be on a pro-rata pay. They understand the need for people to have a personal life.

You may think, does this mean work pressure on those other days are increased? The short answer is no.

Why, and how is this possible? This company believe in high quality, lower volume, well funded projects. They do not bite off more than they can chew and are highly committed to ensuring their projects are partnered up with local wild-life charities and give back heavily to natural landscapes.

What would your role look like but not be limited to?:
*3+ years of previous experience inside a multinational company and/or a law firm.
*Significant experience in dealing with projects documentation with a strong sense of bankability. Experience in permitting of energy projects in the UK a plus.
*Significant experience in contract review and negotiation.
*Strong ability to manage outside counsel/law firms.
*Team player and hard-worker, can-do attitude, with a good business judgement in providing compliant and business friendly legal solutions attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, manage multiple projects are of the essence.
*Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and possess analytical skills necessary for competent legal interpretation.
*Experience in the UK renewables industry a must.

Another crazy benefit this company has is the fact their bonus is revenue based, and EVERY employee gets the same amount equally distributed! Last year this figure was around £70k which saw more junior team members really reaping their hard rewards.

If you've been looking to work as part of a smaller team and have more autonomy in your daily life this would be the perfect opportunity for someone to step into a lovely company culture that value everyone! Equality is at the forefront!

Please only apply if you have UK based renewable energy legal experience.

They've been quite successful in exercising this strategy up unto this point, with 500MW of solar + storage assets already acquired across 2 major projects in ERCOT.
