Director of Manufacturing – California, US 

Piper Maddox has been exclusively engaged with a revolutionary company within the Battery Industry. They are currently searching for a Director of Manufacturing who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations, from process development to team building, supplier relationships, and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong record of building and organizing processes with start up to medium sized companies.

The Ideal Candidate has:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical or related engineering background. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years’ relevant experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Experience in inventing machines or manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong Experience in Battery Industry.

Piper Maddox are working with an exciting start-up business in Oxfordshire that designs, tests and manufactures Electric Motors and Inverters for vehicles. After winning a number of projects from exciting clients across the world, they are looking to grow their internal Engineering team. One key hire they are looking to make is a Systems Engineer with a Functional Safety specialism. This is an important position within the business as they expand their products and client base. What you will be doing?- Supporting the business with Functional Safety topics and ensuring correct procedures are included in V&V plans for upcoming products - Defining Inverter and Motor requirements - Lead product development processes according to ISO 26262 - When appropriate, helping out with the testing of the technology What we are looking for:- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline- Experience as a Systems Engineer with knowledge of Functional Safety topics - Direct experience with inverter, motor or other HV vehicle systems would be considered a bonus - Ability to work well within a team- Someone who wants to build a career with a growing organisationThe main benefits include a bonus scheme of up to 5%, hybrid working a couple days per week and a generous pension scheme.
